Ever wonder what Geocaching is. Do you want to know more? Dean will introduce you to and will help you explore what Geocaching has to offer in your program. If you have a GPS and are planning to take it with you, let us know so others may take the workshop with you.

In this workshop you will learn what is required to complete the glass etching badge as well as get some “hands on” experience and try glass etching for yourself.

By the age of 12 or 13, boys have out-grown the R.P.B. program and are ready for a change – Guide Trails. With a wide range of interesting topics available, such as Aero-Tech and Sportsmanship, participating in Guide Trails may give the boys their most memorable years in Cadets. Attending this workshop will give you inspiration and ideas for implementing this part of the Cadet program. Mike’s Guide Trails tips & hints come from trial and error as well as talking with other counselors.

In fact, I believe that in life, work, family, and as a Cadet Counselor – God has specifically gifted you in exactly the way he wanted to! In this session, we are going to try find some freedom to be more and more of the people who God has created us to be by seeing that we all have unique gifts, strengths and talents in a very practical way! Tired of focusing on your weaknesses? Together, lets learn how to manage around them and begin playing to your strengths!

Get ready to “Prepare Yourself” for the new Cadet season. This workshop will be a discussion on this year’s theme, by our Director.

A cord of many strands is not easily broken, come and see why and learn how to make your own rope of many strands.

As simple as it may seem, this type of craft will help Cadets explore their artistic side. With this two dimensional art, the boy can reproduce his favorite cartoon character, subject, or can bring to life his sketches and drawing to life. Boys have the talents in them; we just have to help him bring them to the surface.

With only a few tools and a minimal amount of supplies he can produce a nice craft project that he can take home with him in one night.

Love to fish? This workshop will show you how to assemble the parts for “2 Mepps style lures”. These lures are available to most tackle fishermen for much less than you think. We will also see examples of easy to make crank bait and techniques to teach your Cadets. Come out to make a spinner bait that will help you catch the big one!

In this workshop we will be making stone tile coasters. This is a great craft to do with any group of children.
